This week's developments at work:

Recent Developments at Work:

- My boss went out this weekend and bought Pato and I a fork and spoon to use at lunch because apparently we were taking too long to eat with the chopsticks :/.
-I have now been assigned a Chinese name. You all can just refer to me as "Ke Tian Lan" from now on. Ha. The first word is the closest thing that the guy who was naming me could think of to Kelley and the second two mean "Blue Sky". I asked him why he chose that and he said its the name of a girl in a movie he really likes. Deep.
-Today I introduced everybody at the office to Wikipedia and Facebook, niether of which they had seen before (Wikipedia just got the Chinese government block lifted in June amidst protests with the Olympics and Facebook opened up not long before that - though it has been blocked for a good part of this week).
-We've got our travel time down to about an hour and forty minutes now! It's been interesting to see the public transportation system gearing up for the Olympics. There's more and more English on the buses and subway cars every day and they just implemented bag screening in the subways yesterday. It's also been raining a lot because apparently they're seeding the air to try and wash out some of the pollution, which is good. Right now I see blue sky for 2 hours a day - the hour on the way to work when I'm on the bus looking through the blue-tinted window and the hour on the way back home from work when I'm looking through the blue-tinted window...

I call this one: "Kristyn feels out of place in the subway"

From my bus on the way to work: Please notice the bikers in the same lanes as my double decker bus. Oh, and the pedestrian walking in the middle of the street IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. This isn't some neighborhood street either - it's the access road to the flippin' highway!

Mmmm! Beanergy...
